LOOK: Catriona Gray does charity work in Brazil

Catriona Gray continues to deliver on her promise to help children as reigning Miss Universe.

Gray recently arrived in Brazil with Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst and Miss Teen USA Kaliegh Garris to bond with the beneficiaries of Smile Train, a cleft charity partnered with the Miss Universe Organization.

"Smiles are best shared," the Filipino-Australian beauty queen said in an Instagram post, which showed photos of her happy moments with the kids of Smile Train.

"Had so much [fun] being goofy, playing, making arts and crafts with children who have benefited from life-changing cleft surgery through Smile Train. Look at those smiles!" she added.

Gray and her fellow titleholders can be seen visiting children at a hospital.

While she is in Brazil for charity work, Gray also took the opportunity to sample the country's cuisine.

Asking for recommendations, she said in an Instagram post: "First taste of Brazil. What food should I try while I'm here?"

Gray is the Philippines' fourth Miss Universe winner after Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).

Her reign is set to end in a little over two months, but a venue and date for the next Miss Universe pageant has yet to be officially announced.
